The Park Museum presents: EXOTIQUE

The Board of Governors of The Park Museum is pleased to present EXOTIQUE, a special multi-dimensional, multimedia exhibition in honour of Enforced Domestication Awareness Month (EDAM).

Through art, sculpture, film, still photography, poetry, and music, EXOTIQUE explores Human values and attitudes to Animals, with a focus on those they consider to be unique or extraordinary. The exhibition will also present data related to breeding programmes, genetic modification, large-scale domestication, and conservation.

Throughout the length of the exhibit, The Park Museum will host a number of panel discussions on a variety of subjects related to the relationship between Humans and “exotic” Animals, as well as musical performances, readings, and short plays.

EXOTIQUE will be open to the public from 10 June until 10 July 2018.

EXOTIQUE was conceived and executed under the supervision of Dorika Pumi, head curator of The Park Museum’s art gallery

Funding for EXOTIQUE was provided by The Park’s Departments of Well-Being and Safety and Festivals, Holidays, and Celebrations, as well as by Holstein Fashion’s EQUALSS charity, CatsCare, LynxLink, and BirdBrains.
